Roadmap

What we've shipped, what we're building now, and what's next for AI Workout Buddy.

Shipped

Multi-week periodized Programs

A phased plan (build → peak → deload) across 7 styles — Beginner, Hypertrophy, Powerlifting, Hybrid, Kettlebell, Bodyweight, and Conjugate — where each session adapts to the numbers you actually logged.

A full family of workout timers

Rest timers with locked-phone alerts, timed sets and holds, a session stopwatch, and interval / EMOM / AMRAP screens that auto-advance each round.

Interval & circuit workouts

Workouts can prescribe rest, rounds, EMOM, AMRAP, and timed intervals as real, checkable sets.

"Adjust this workout"

Tell the coach to change a session — shorter, a deload, swap an exercise — and get a revised, ready-to-log workout.

Live check-off logging

Check off each set as you go, right in the workout.

History & strength trends

Your full workout history plus strength-trend charts over time.

The iOS app

AI Workout Buddy on iPhone, now in TestFlight beta.

In-app feedback

Send feedback from inside the app in one tap — it goes straight to us.

AI-generated workouts

The foundation: a coach that writes each session for you, with accounts, a true dark theme, supersets, and guided onboarding.

In Progress

Timer refinements

A hands-free rest timer that finishes on its own (no tapping "Done"), a reliable beep on every set, and a workout stopwatch that pauses when you leave the screen.

Smarter exercise matching

Recognizing the same lift even when the name is slightly different, so you don't end up with duplicates.

Sharper history & trends

Fixing a calculation edge case in strength progress.

Smoother "Adjust this workout"

Better handling when you already have history for a session.

Portrait lock

Keeping the app in portrait when you rotate your phone.

Planned

Third-party integrations

We're exploring ways to connect with the tools you already use — like Garmin and Apple Health.

Train with a coach that adapts to your numbers.

This roadmap is shaped by the feedback we get from people using the app.
